Success is no different. We can't sit and wait for success. We must go out and find success. This takes time, effort, patience, planning, sometimes money, and always consistent action.

If you sit and wait for your ship to come in, you are settling for what the ship offers. However, if you go to the ship, you can choose the ship. You can choose the size of the ship as well.

Do not sit back and just wait for things to happen. Define your goals and dreams. Set your perfomance standard benchmarks and reach for your goals and dreams. Do not let others stand in your way and be sure to always remember that success happens to those who go after success, not for those who sit and wait for it to happen.

Too often we are more focused on what we want and need, rather than focusing on our prospects, downlines, and customers. The key to success, as Zig Ziglar has said, is to "help enough other people get what they want."

When you strive toward developing as a leader and marketer who others will want to work with, remember to take your eyes off yourself and focus your eyes on your prospects, downline, and customers. Doing this will allow your inner being to surface.

When you feel good about helping others, you will feel better about yourself. When
you feel better about yourself, you will project a sense of confidence in the air that others will be attracted to.

So often, we tend to search for a secret formula, secret strategy, or that secret message from a cookie which will really transform our business to the next level of success. But is there really a secret?

A secret is really just knowledge or information we are not aware of. Because we do not know the information, it is secret to us. As we search for that secret, we often are blinded by the light of misinformation and strategies or techniques which take us off focus.

Due to the lack of focus, we are then steered toward a new business or as often said, "the greener pasture!" Unfortunately, this type of move will really only start you over.

Too often we get caught in a misunderstanding that we must "sell" our prospect. When
the bottom line is we will benefit greater if we sit back and listen more than
we talk.

Building a network marketing business is about building relationships. Relationships
are what hold your organization together and is what drives profits and growth.

Your prospect will never buy from you for your reasons or your company's reasons.
Not even your upline's reasons. Your prospect's reasons for buying your product/service
or even your opportunity will be based solely on their own reasons.

When we try to sell our prospect or get in a "show and tell" mode of action, we
only position ourselves with the 95% of marketers out their. Create a distinguished unique
position in your marketing by doing the things the 5% do.
Let your prospect be the guide. They will show you how, what, where, and when
they want to buy and what they want to buy. Begin with a focus on your prospect.
Ask questions and listen closely to their answers.

TIP - Master your listening skills.

Mastering your listening skills will help you master your recruiting and selling
skills. Listen to your prospects and you will experience a whole new world called
success. Track all you do and you will find the little successes will build your
confidence. As your confidence builds, so will your relationships with others.
