Blogging Tips for Part Time Work at Home

Are you looking for part time work at home blogging? Blogging is an excellent choice for a motivated and self-disciplined individual that loves writing. Have you ever written a blog just for fun? Do you keep a livejournal account or a MySpace blog? Then blogging may be the best part time work at home opportunity for you.

When you decide to get started blogging, finding work may be hard if you're new to the business. Plenty of forums and programs out there offer a proven system for you to follow. You don't have to reinvent the wheel on this one.

When you look into making an investment in your time and money by finding a blogging training program look for the following things:

1. Training from an experienced leader in the field.

We've all heard the claims about people making tons of money with the system that they set up blogging. Do some research and find out which ones are respected leaders in the field. Writing forums are one of the best places to go to find out unbiased opinions. Many affiliate marketers set up websites recommending the best programs that they've tried.

2. Avoid get-rich-quick schemes.

This should be a major red flag. Just like any job or business, you'll have to work for it.

3. Methods for writing Internet content.

Just the love of writing alone won't get you far in blogging. You need to find a worthy program that can get you up-to-date on the lingo and methods used in Internet Marketing (IM). A good article alone won't get you what you need. You need to know the best ways to use keywords and have a general understanding of SEO to keep your prospects or clients coming back for more.

4. Referrals to legitimate part time work blogging.

These are hard to find. Let the experts show you the way.

Blogging: Legitimate Work at Home Opportunity or Fluff?

Getting started in a legitimate work at home business is tough. There's a lot to learn out there. No need to go through the endless trial and error because people like me can show you the ropes, and present the most legitimate work at home in an easy to find set up based on their own personal experience.

There are many different ways to try to start making money online, but just as many programs offer a lot of unfulfilled promises. I call this fluff. Have you ever looked at some of these get-rich-quick schemes that offer vague things like "thousands of dollars in days" or "instant money?” What do they really mean?

Many of these programs rely on people who are new to the business and have high hopes and dreams of making passive income. Don't be fooled into thinking purchasing a program and filling in the blanks will bring you endless sums of money. It's just not true. Just like any business in cyberspace, or brick and mortar operations, you have to invest time and money in learning the ropes.

I started out blogging. Most successful online companies are willing to get someone else to write their material for them. By writing blogs for other companies, you'll learn the ropes of Web 2.0 properties and the best way to market yourself as an expert. When you decide to do your own blog about a product or service, find something you feel passionate about.

Blogging can present a series of informative articles or reviews. These first person accounts and experiences with certain products or services offer a trust factor that consumers are looking for.

Blogging is a legitimate work at home opportunity. Put your career on fast forward and find a program that already knows the ropes through proven modules and methods.

Personally, I've been trying to find the most legitimate home based business opportunities since 2005. The most popular options are blogging, affiliate marketing, paid surveys, and Forex (foreign currency exchange).

I love Internet Marketing (IM), but my real passion is blogging. I love the creativity and flexibility it allows me. I can do my work anytime and anywhere. Blogging applies to several different fields.

You can start your own blog and couple it with affiliate marketing, Pay per Click (PPC), and Cost per Action (CPA). Blogging offers the opportunity to present your expert advice in any field you feel passionate about. This could be raising kids, engineering, health supplement, yoga, or anything, really.

4 Tips To Increase Your Blog's Profit

Blogs are hot! And one of the best ways to make money online is blogging. You can get paid to blog for others, get paid to blog on your own blog about certain subjects, or you can just get a lot of traffic to your own blog and get paid through AdSense clicks and affiliate sales. Either way, blogging is a great way to make money online. Some bloggers, like John Chow, make six figure incomes out of one blog. Others run several blogs, which they make even more money out of.

Interested in knowing how to do this? Take a look at these four tips, and you'll be well on your way.

Tip 1: Choose the Right Topic

If you write about a topic that very few people want to read about, then you're not going to make money. If you write about a topic that people aren't willing to spend money on, then you're not going to make money. You have to write about something that people spend money on, and you're going to have to get search engine traffic to your posts.

Figuring out what people spend money on is relatively easy. You can just pay attention to the ads on big, popular sites. Weight loss, travel, insurance, health, health foods...those sorts of things are topics that people spend literally billions on each year.

If you're not sure your topic is a money maker, just type your main keyword phrase into Google, and see how many ads pop up. If advertisers are advertising for that keyword phrase, you can bet it's a money maker.

To make sure you get plenty of traffic to your site, write your posts based on keyword phrases that actually get plenty of searches. 5,000 per month is about what you should be looking for. Make sure you optimize your post for that particular keyword phrase.

Tip 2: Stick to High Paying Niches

You're going to make money through Google AdSense, CPA offers, and affiliate offers. Make sure you go for the high payout niches. After all, if you're going to do all this work, you might as well get paid for it.

Tip 3: Create Multiple Streams of Income

Don't just rely on one source of income from your blog. Once you establish traffic, monetize it in various ways. AdSense, CPA offers, paid ads, paid posts if appropriate, all of these can substantially add to your bottom line.

Tip 4: Be patient.

This is not get rich quick. This is build a lasting asset slowly. Blogs build a following and also build in the search rankings slowly. The best part of this is once a certain page on your blog is ranking well for a certain keyword term, you don't have to work on that page as much. You can shift your attention to other pages or other blogs.

Promote Your Blog For Free With Squidoo

If you haven't jumped on the blogging bandwagon, it's not too late! Not by a long shot. There are thousands of new blogs created each and every day. Unfortunately, almost as many are abandoned each and every day. Only a few make it into any sort of profitability.

There are a number of reasons for this, but the main one is that the blogger gets discouraged. Why do blogging newbies get so discouraged so fast? Well, there are probably several reasons, but one of the big ones is that they never really get any traction with their blog.

The set up the blog, write a few posts, and then....nothing, nada, zilch.

The Internet is no longer a "build it and they will come" medium. It's a "you better learn how to make traffic" medium. And it's the lack of traffic that kills most blogs.

So, the big question is...how do you create traffic for your new blog? Fortunately, there are a number of great answers. We're going to explore one of the best in this article-combining web 2.0 platforms like Squidoo and your blog. It's a very, very explosive combination. One that, if used right, is likely to send your blog traffic (and your income from your blog) straight up into the stratosphere!

Let's learn how to do this.

What is Squidoo?

Squidoo is basically a free website platform. But in reality it's much more than that. Squidoo websites are called "lenses". And Google just loves Squidoo lenses. If you write your lens correctly, it's not all that hard to rank it in the top of even very competitive Google searches.

Here is an example of what a Squidoo Lens looks like: Ways To Make Money On The Internet

How's that going to help your blog?

One of the main factors that Google uses to rank search results is the number and quality of links from outside a given website to the page in question. Links are like votes. The more votes the better. Links are also like a popularity contest, in that not only does the number of links matter, but who you're linking from matters.

As far as Google is concerned, Squidoo is tops. So, a link from Squidoo to your page that you want to rank is seen as a quality link.

You can easily create Squidoo lenses all day long. Once you get the swing of it, a good one doesn't take but about five to ten minutes to whip out. In an hour, you could create six links to your webpage. Social bookmark these and give Google a day or two to catch up, and you should see your webpage rank higher and higher in the search results.

Creat Your Own Blog Network

You can make a ton of money from just one blog. Even if you're not that good at it, you can make several hundred dollars a month from just one blog. Now, multiply that and you can see how you can build yourself into a six-figure income in no time.

A large part of the magic of the Internet is its interconnectedness. Like billiard balls all crashing around the pool table just after someone's broken, Internet surfers are bopping all around the Internet from site to site in search of...whatever they're in search of. Imagine if you could harness part of this organized chaos? How much money could you make then?

You can do this, by the way.

Darren Rowse of Problogger.net is a multiple six figure blogger who has done just this, harnessed the organized chaos of the Internet to create quite a nice income for himself.

One way that Darren has done this is through creating blog networks.

What's a blog network? Well, think about it like this.

Let's take a subject you're interested in. Create a blog and get it up and running. Now, once you get traffic to that, you can create another blog, then another, then another. This becomes kind of a logistical nightmare, and unless you outsource some of the writing, you're going to be typing twelve hours a day, but these problems are just details.

The issue is that once you get all these blogs created, you link them all together into your own blog spider web. Let's say someone comes to your jewelry making blog, they see your links in your sidebar and read about all of the other blogs in your network. They see a blog about movie reviews. Well, they really didn't want to buy jewelry, but they are interested in downloading a new movie. So, they click over to your movie review blog and bingo! You've made money whereas before you would have lost the visitor to someone else.

Blogging Profit For You In 7 Simple Steps

Creating and building up a profitable blog is a lot like building a piece of profitable real estate, except a lot easier. Having a steady, passive income source is also great, especially in today's economy. You can earn anywhere from a few hundred dollars per blog to several thousand. Get a few of these babies up and running and you'll be making essentially a full time income. Getting from concept to actual realization, however, is not as easy as it sounds. There are literally over 100,000 new blogs created daily! Getting yours to be profitable is not rocket science, but it doesn't happen without some work. Here are seven steps, which, if followed, can result in your blog becoming a profit spewing money machine.

Step 1: Compile a list of your passions. Figure out what you would be interested in writing about for a year. Is it going to take a year for you to make your blog profitable? No. More like a few months. When it does become profitable, you'll want to pour on the coal and turn it into a nice money machine. That'll take several more months. Look at blogging as a year or so long project. If you're passionate about your subject, however, what easier way could there be to make money?

Step 2: Discover your niche market. This is really a refinement on Step 1. A good resource is Blogcatalog.com . Use this, Technorati, and other resources to help position your blog to be different from others.

Step 3: Start writing articles immediately. The more you write, the more you're going to write well, and the more your articles are going to interest your readers. Successful blogging is not mainly about pleasing the search engines. It's about pleasing your readers.

Step 4: Choose a domain with your main keyword phrase in it, hopefully at the beginning. You can use Yahoo! Domains to do this. Also a lot of folks use either GoDaddy.com or Namecheap.com to register domains.

Step 5: Choose a webhost. Make sure your host can deal with WordPress. (Most can, nowadays.) Also, it's going to be easier on you if your dashboard is cPanel. Another thing to watch out for is to make sure your cPanel has Fantastico, which is one step WordPress installation software.

Step 6: After creating your blog, choose a theme that goes with what you're writing. Themes are usually free, and there are hundreds to choose from. Start uploading your posts. Also, start working on getting some advertising going on your blog. Set up Google AdSense. Look and see if you can find any good CPA offers that match your niche.

Step 7: Start social bookmarking. Build your social network. Use Technorati, Digg, StumbleUpon, and other web 2.0 sites to start getting traffic to your site.

The most important thing you need to understand about blogging is to be patient. A good blog is not grown in a day, week, or even a month. It's more like six months to a year. Don't get discouraged, either. Just keep posting good content, marketing your blog, and the traffic will build. With traffic, you'll also get sales...and money!

5 Money Making Steps To Blogging

Surely you've thought about how cool it would be to make money online. I mean, how could anything be better than having a website that just pours money into your bank account month in and month out?

Think this is something you can't achieve? That it's only for "geeks", or experienced internet marketers?

Think again! Building a website and getting it to the point you make several hundred or even $1,000 per month out of it is entirely within the realm of possibilities. A ten year old could do it, if she knew how.

Let's learn how.

Here are 5 steps you can follow to start creating your money making, blog empire.

  1. Choose a product or niche that really interests you. Blogging is about communicating. You're going to be writing posts on this subject for months to come. Preferably, you'll be posting once per day, at the minimum three times per week. If you haven't chosen something you can really sink your teeth into, you're going to get bored, stop writing, and all your efforts will be for nothing.

  2. Do your keyword research. You can write as much as you want as well as you want, but if your visitors can't find you in the search engines, nobody's coming to your blog. No traffic = no money, and you surely don't want that! You can use Google's External Keyword Tool to do your keyword research. Just type in your top level keyword (something like "dog training") and see what the tool tells you. Narrow your choice down some, then download a list of 100 or so keywords to your computer. Use those as titles for your posts and also as the keywords your posts are optimized around.

  3. Make sure you give your readers good, reliable information. A blog positions you as the "expert". This is a two-edged sword. You can build your reputation in your niche or destroy it just as effectively. Make sure your double check the information you're giving your readers. Also, don't just write fluff. Even though you need to be posting on a regular basis, it would be better not to post than to write junk.

  4. It bears repeating that you need to update your blog frequently. Some top bloggers post several times a day. They find good, useful information and get it out to their readers as soon as possible. That way, they build a following of readers who either bookmark their blog, or subscribe to it in their RSS reader.

  5. Stay on topic. Even if you're writing about something that you're totally passionate about, it's tempting to throw other stuff in. In some niches, this might work. Sometimes personal information about what you did and where you went is appropriate. One of the top bloggers, John Chow, often puts pictures of the meals he eats in fancy restaurants on his blog. He writes a blog about internet marketing, and food has nothing to do with it. But it's a sort of signature of his. You can do this, but don't just meander. Your readers come to your blog for specific information and insights. Make sure you satisfy them.

Making money off of a blog that has traffic is much easier than making money off of a blog with no traffic (which is impossible). Build up your traffic first, then work on better and better monetization strategies. Pretty soon, you'll have an online asset pumping out $1,000 per month. At that point, you can start another blog, or just continue to build up the one you've got, if you think there's still more potential.

What You Don't Have A Blog?!?

If you don't know what a blog is, then you just haven't been paying attention. Or probably what's more likely the case is you have seen blogs, but just didn't recognize them. The later is probably what has actually happened. Blogs don't look like they used to. Thanks to the amazing versatility of WordPress, the premier blogging software, a blog can look like a classic straight up and down blog, an online magazine, or even a static sales page.

Now, that you know what a blog looks like, let's talk about what one is and the power of blogging.

Blogs started as a way of people keeping a sort of online journal. The idea was you could write a post today and it would show up at the top of the blog, shifting the other posts down by one. You could share whatever you were doing with the world.

Businesses, especially online businesses, soon realized the immense power of blogs. Because blogs have a communication feature which lets readers leave comments, you can really build an online community with a blog. You can see how this would work well with a number of businesses.

As blogging software became more and more flexible, however, blogs started morphing into a variety of types of website, static sites, sites with multiple authors, ecommerce sites, and online newspapers.

Because of this versatility, blogs can address multiple issues with your audience. They can provide a means of communication and community building. They can give whatever you're selling an aura (either real or manipulated) of authenticity. They can take a one person business and make them "look" like a large corporation-at least online.

All of the above is reason enough to build a blog. But there are more, perhaps even more important, reasons you absolutely must have a blog.

You must have a blog because:

  1. They can easily be used to advertise a product or service

  2. They are easily fitted with opt-in forms that can acquire your visitors' email addresses so you can market to them or communicate with them over a period of time

  3. Google loves blogs. By their very nature, blogs are easily spidered by search engines.

  4. Blogs are absurdly easy to build. With the number of themes available for WordPress, you can design a blog for virtually any purpose and it will look like a professional web designer did it

  5. Blogging can really help your visitors feel like they know you. With that familiarity, trust will build. So will your brand!Blogging to the Bank

Blogs are here to stay. They are without doubt the wave of the future. So much so, that the days of getting a static website up and running are coming to a close. In the not too distant future, every site made will either be a blog, or will have blogging capabilities.

3 Blogging Tips For A Profitable Blog

Blogging is absolutely one of the best ways to make a significant income online. Don't think about blogging like creating a one-time product, selling a few, then moving on. Blogging is a lot like offline publishing. You're creating a readership, which hopefully will come back day after day to read your blog...and buy your affiliate items and click on your ads. Build a readership large enough and you can make a very good income blogging. This is not going to take place over the next week or so. This is more like a three to six month strategy. But you're building an asset, and the rewards are well worth it.

The topic you choose for your blog is critical. You need a topic that not only has a lot of potential readers on the Internet, but also which is profitable. That is, there are affiliate products, CPA offers, and Google ads that your readers will buy or click on so that you'll make money from all your hard work. Here are three steps to finding a profitable topic (or niche) for your blog.

Step 1:

If you can focus on a topic that you already know something about, or at least that you're passionately interested in, you'll be far ahead of everyone else. Knowing a fair amount about a topic helps in multiple ways. For one thing, you'll have to do much less research. For another, familiarity just shows. You can tell by the way someone writes if they're intimately familiar with what they're writing about. Their words have that ring of truth and experience that even the best researcher can't fake.

Not only that, but a blog is not a short term deal. It's a longer term deal, if you will. If you're going to be doing this right, you're going to be living with your blog day in and day out for a year or so. Unless you are really interested in your topic, you could easily get sick of your blog a month or two into the game. That would cause you to quit writing content, which will result in your blog losing readers rapidly.

Step 2:

Do your homework. You can use Google's external keyword tool to get a feel for how many times per month a certain keyword phrase is searched. Another thing you need to do is to check out who's advertising in your niche. Having a number of advertisers is good, not bad. No advertisers, or few advertisers, doesn't mean your niche is undiscovered. There aren't any of those, anymore. What it means is that your niche is not profitable, for whatever reason.

Step 3:

Make a list of the top keywords and write your blog posts to feature these. You can easily search engine optimize a blog post by including the keyword phrase you want to rank for in your title and first sentence. Also, include it once every 50 words or so. That's 2%. You can try to go up as much as about 3%. Finally, make sure your keyword phrase is in the last part of the last sentence.

If you follow these three steps, you really can't go wrong. Find your passion, find your niche, write a lot, and watch your stats and your income rise! It really is that easy.

Less Work For More Money By Blogging

In my last post I was talking about social proof and creating good content as a one-two punch to winning the blogging race.

But I have to admit, there's a little more to it than just writing good content and hoping people will sing your praises and trample their way to your site, particularly in the early days.

You see, whether we like to admit it or not, there's a little bit of elbow grease required to kick any blog into the running, so if you're not prepared to put in some up front commitment, then this isn’t the business for you.

But that goes for any business I suppose right? Well, here the difference with Blogging to the Bank 3.0:

Rob Benwell (the author) has taken the time to pay out a plan that whilst requiring some upfront work, actually doesn't make you slave away for months on end with little to show for it.

Why and how, you might ask...

Well, the reason why his system cuts out the usual legwork is because he explains in detail how to pick a profitable niche right from the start, instead of busting your guts to get blood out of a stone (with a niche people don't but much stuff).

He also kicks right in with setting up your blog the right way from day one so that all of your efforts create this snowball effect where traffic keeps piling on, mainly thanks to search engines.

Finally, he shows you how to best extract money from the blog and how to eliminate your slavery but outsourcing the work required. This gives you your time back so that you can roll out another project immediately and repeat the entire systematic process time after time after time, until you literally reach the income level you personally desire.

If you want to cut out the chores and wasted months of blogging doomsville, then I suggest a read of Rob Benwell's Blogging to the Bank 3.0.

They Will Want To Eat Your Words

Do you think it's easy to get a few hundred visitors to your blog or website every day?

Well, if you answered yes, then this post is probably not going to interest you.

If however, you find that getting a ton of traffic is far easier said than done, then it's time to get the record straight once and for all...

You see, I used to think that the reason we struggle to get traffic is because there is so much competition and not enough people to go around! That's silly really when you realize just how many people there are online every day, looking for what you're selling.

So it came to my understanding that it's not lack of people, it's a lack of service to those people. Let me explain...

When you walk down your local street which has lots of shops, restaurants on it, which ones make you step inside?

Well, first of all it would be the ones that are specifically selling what you want right?

Ok, that makes sense. But what if you walked down another street which was full of restaurants that were all Italian? How would you decide which one to go eat at?

Well, there are two things:

1. Recommendation (friends tell you to go there)
2. Social Proof (you see other people inside looking happy)

So, just like a restaurant relies on these two aspects to get traffic through their doors, so does every single business online.

This means, if you want your blog to become a traffic magnet, you need to:

1. Have other people talk about how cool your site is
2. Have some kind of interaction with your visitors to show new comers that they are not alone

How to do this:

1. Create killer content (gets people talking)
2. Add visitor counters, comments, forums, polls, surveys, reviews to your blog so that people know that they are not the first in though the door.

Now, adding polls, comments etc is easy. It's just a case of turning on a script in your blog. But as for content, well that's a different matter.

After all, how do you create it, keep adding it, and let people know about it and maintain this momentum for months on end?

The truth is, this is just one of the aspects covered in Blogging to the Bank 3.0. Once you've got the content aspect nailed (which is one of the first things Rob Benwell, the creator, teaches you, then it's a simple case of following his simple step by step system to attract more people to your blog every single day, which then makes EVEN MORE people from the outside want to know what all the fuss is about over at your blog.

Pretty soon, you'll find yourself being that restaurant that everybody wants to kick back at with a nice drink, warm seats and good company... capiche?

So why not check out Rob's story and see if he can't help you get to that point this year, not next year or the year after that....THIS YEAR.

5 Blog Content Creation Tips

If you're trying to get more eyeballs on your blog and more cash in your pocket, then there's one thing that fuels traffic and income...good content!

I'm going to cover the pillars to creating good quality, magnetic blog content that will bring in traffic, fans and fortunes if you stick with it for a few weeks.

1. Killer titles

If your goal is to get ranked in the search engines, you need to obviously focus on getting your keywords in your title. However, you also need to balance this with actually creating titles that people want to click on and read. Use controversy, mystery, benefits and breaking news as the triggers for all of your titles. If you can ask a question within your title, even better.

2. Make it "scan-able"

Nobody reads full articles in these hectic times, not generally speaking anyway. Even your biggest blog fan will have times when they need the meat from your content without being told about how poorly your cat is. So use bullet points, sub headlines, accents etc. Make sure you break up large paragraphs so it appears less daunting to read in one sitting.

3. Controversy

Nothing gets more attention (and raving loyal fans) than a person who speaks their mind and kicks up a little dust every now and then. Speak to your audience, don't just be another "me too blogger". Just make sure you don't say anything derogatory which could lead to legal troubles.

4. Use pictures

You only have to look at all the news papers every day and it's clear to see how important images are. They have the ability to sum up an entire article and can also stimulate emotion or provoke a response. Also, it's a proven fact that people are drawn to images first, and then their eyes will gravitate to the caption underneath the image. Guess what that caption could be? Yep, an affiliate link or advert perhaps?

5. Use lists

Also referred to in the blogosphere as utility posts. The types of posts that are often a "Top 10 Ways To..." or "The 7 Things You Need To..." and so on. These are great because they are not only easy to read, but also useful for the reader too.

There you have it - a simple 5 step plan to creating content that is not only worth reading, but can result in increased revenue and more visitors to your site in general. But there's a lot more to wealthy blogging that just great content, which is impossible to cover in the article alone.

If you'd like to know how to step up your blogging to the point of getting thousands of hits per month and seriously boosting your income as a result, check out Blogging To The Bank as soon as possible.

Blogs Need Traffic - Get Yours For Free

Every online business needs traffic in order to survive, that much we already know.

But in this article, we're going to look at 4 of the most effective ways to set up windfalls of consistent traffic through one of the best publishing platforms online - blogs.

1. RSS Feeds

Most blogging software such as Wordpress come with a built in RSS feed, which is the equivalent to having a newsletter subscription service, but of course is 100% free and requires no details to be passed over from the subscriber. Most people just let their RSS feed sit there on their new blogs but what you must do is submit your RSS feed URL to as many RSS directories as possible. Therefore, when you post new content on your blog, this is syndicated to your RSS feed and the directories display your most recent posts. This is one of the easiest ways to get immediate exposure every time you post content.

2. Blog commenting

If you're looking for targeted traffic and some solid one way backlinks to boost your search engine listings, then try commenting on other people's blogs leaving a link back to your website. Providing you post relevant and useful content/comments on other people's blogs, the blog owner will "approve" your comments and you link will then become live. This can bring direct traffic and of course help with your rankings in the search engines.

3. Guest Bloggers

There are many advantages to having guest bloggers post their content on your site. Apart from the credibility of your blog going way up (depending on who the guest actually is), you are forming a mini joint venture where the guest is likely to tell his/her own audience about the material on your site, plus you may be able to work out a deal where you can return the favor and get access to their blog audience by appearing as a guest writer on their blog.

4. Trackback links

A trackback is when one blog communicates with another to inform the bloggers that their material has been referenced on someone else's post. So if you were to write a really good post, I could write about your post and create a trackback on your blog that tells the readers I've been talking about you and your post. Not only can this bring direct traffic, but also provides another backlink to your blog which is great for a little SEO boost. When would this be most effective? Probably when I have a contrasting opinion to your original post or if I have something helpful (or controversial) to add to the original post.

These are just 4 of many ways to explode your blog traffic, but we're not done yet. It's possible to reach dizzy levels of traffic for your new blog right from day one when you have an arsenal of blogger's traffic tactics at your disposal. Check out Blogging To The Bank for more details...

Does Your Blog Make Money - If Not Here Is How It Can

If you've read my other articles, you'll already know how to drive large amounts of traffic to your blog through basic SEO practices and through creating outstanding content.

But what's the use in all of that if you're never getting any decent money from your blog at the end of the day?

Sure, some people do this for nothing but poops and giggles, but for the enterprising individual that I am sure you are, we must look at ways to add revenue to our blogs to actually turn blogging into a successful business.

Before we do, it's important to realize that there's nothing ethically or morally wrong with monetizing your blog. After all, the products you sell or ads you run from your blog will be aimed to help your readers, and it's their decision to engage in them at the end of the day.

So, let's look at the various ways to extract some easy money from your blog:

1. Adsense

This is the old classic that still holds true for many bloggers. Because Adsense is so easy to implement into your site, and because the quality of the ads (and relevance) is so high, there's a lot of potential to get lots of clicks from running this simple script on your site. However, this might not exactly allow you to quit your day job just yet, unless you have a serious amount of traffic coming in to your blog daily.

2. Affiliate programs

There's no end of products you can promote as an affiliate and in many cases (particularly with digital download sales) you can earn a significant share of the revenue, sometimes up to 100% in a few cases. It's really just a case of finding a good affiliate network, signing up and picking products to promote that tie in with your blog content. The more you hand pick individual products to promote based on individual posts, the higher your revenue will be. Don't just slap one product on the sidebar; you need to actively presell the product by talking about it, and the problems it solves.

3. Selling advertising space

Just like making money from Adsense ads on your blog, there needs to be substantial (and targeted) traffic to your blog in order for you to attract media buyers (the people who buy the ad space from your site). Furthermore, advertisers will want to know precise demographics of your average blog readers, such as their age, location and reading habits (how long they stay on your site and what they respond to in terms of your content and other ads). You can get this information by visiting Quantcast.com and using their scripts to gather all of this data from your blog, which you can then present to interested buyers of ad space on your blog.

These are just some of the ways to attract revenue from your site. Each of the above methods does of course require more training in order for you to reach your maximum profit potential and beyond.
